Dear Integrated Nutrition Visitor,

As an ADA Registered Dietitian and Licensed Nutritionist (FL) practicing in both Michigan and Florida, I have the opportunity to wear many "hats." Some of those "hats" include counselor, educator, mentor, author, lecturer and recipe creator. I consider myself extremely fortunate in that my passion (nutrition and wellness) and profession are, for all practical purposes, one and the same. My passion for nutrition and wellness is a natural outgrowth of experiences that I had when I was young.

My mother died very young when I was 1 and ½ years old. My father also died when I was still relatively young. These sad and unfortunate events had a huge impact on me as I was growing up and in shaping the person I am today. I came to view it as a personal challenge to live my life in a way that would pay tribute to my parents and would give me the greatest opportunity to live a long and healthy life. The study and practice of healthy nutrition gave me that opportunity. My personal and professional fulfillment comes from being able to share my knowledge and experience with others.

My father was a doctor and actually groomed me to be one. He used to write me culinary poems, which he left for me on the kitchen table. Unfortunately, he knew little about nutrition for himself. This was his way of giving me the tools to change any hereditary component that I might carry from him or my mother. I believe my mother's spirit comes through in my quest and passion for nutritional knowledge, understanding and wellness.

Thank you very much for visiting our web site. Hopefully, you will join me on the journey to eating and living better sensibly through healthy nutrition.
